This place was a disaster from the start. Going into my second year at Brock University me and a group of 5 other girls all came together and decided it was time for us to find a place to live next year.

We contacted Miz Rentals to look at a model home as the house we wanted to rent was in the process of being built. We were overly excited about everything we were being promised, brand new house for students, 4 bathrooms, garage and all brand new appliances. This was huge for students as they are usually shafted to horrible living conditions. When we happily agreed to sign the lease we set a date and time around our exams schedules to meet Vaseem at a local Tim Hortons, he was in fact 2 hours late before i called him to see what the hold up was.He then proceeded to tell me he forgot entirely about the meeting and would need at least another hour to get there.

We as students pushed it off as we of all people know how hard scheduling is and how busy people can get. We got out house as of May 1st , only 1 roommate was living there throughout the summer due to being on a varsity team. We started to move things in when we saw that our driveway was not done at all as well as Appliances were not in the kitchen until the 15th of May. We were promised this house as of the 1st of May.

The roommate who was planning on living there was forced to live at her parents house and make the drive to early morning practices as our house was not finished. We send numerous emails about this and went unheard. We moved in around September and things were going fine, except we noticed our front door code was still set as a default number of all the houses that were being rented by MIZ. Handy man were letting themselves in by the door code that the rental company gave them.

Living in a house with 6 girls this was concerning and we did not even know when they were coming. The door code never got changed, as well as the house started to fall apart. Our closet doors continued to fall off of the tracks and no one was emailing us back. They told us to stop calling and that they will not be fixing the doors and new houses being build dont even have closet door but more of an open concept.

Then problems just spiraled from there, our brand new fridge gave out and we just gave up hope of having the house of our dreams. Half of the roomates ended up leaving after the lease was done and refused to rent with MIZ again.

BEWARE of these people.... I am a student whos cheques never bounced or got evicted from my house, i am just trying to send this review to aware students that this company is added stress.
